Oslo

Pat, Bob, Mike & Al

Oslo was Mike Malone, Pat Packer, Bob Robins and myself.

We formed after Factory during the time I was in and out of Ryerson. We played live very little compared to Factory. Oslo rehearsed lots, working on songs by Johnny Winter, Wishbone Ash, Beatles, Stones, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Lou Reed and some early originals.

Mike played a clear set of Fibes drums, Pat played a Thunderbird bass with an Ampeg bass amp, Bob played a SG for a time until it was stolen and then a Les Paul, he had an Orange amp for a while. I played a Les Paul with a spray painted stencil #3 on it, I might have had a Marshall amp.

A memorable gig was at the OSCVI, it was a Friday night dance. We had a solid fan following and they all sat in front of the stage and didn’t dance.

Sound and lights were always an issue, we would spend all our money renting and have very little in the end.

There were some recordings. Music to come.
